T.T Gion is a total work of art conceived by Taiga Takahashi within a restored Kyoto machiya townhouse built around 1900. Through clothing, sculpture, the garden, and the art of tea, he gave new contemporary forms to the aesthetic sensibilities passed down through Japanese history and culture.

The interior brings together materials shaped by time and exceptional craftsmanship, drawing on the principles of sukiya architecture to express the beauty of wabi-sabi.

Sculptures exploring the theme of time are placed in dialogue with the surrounding space and garden. On the second floor is the tearoom Sabi, whose walls are covered with karakami paper by Kyoto studio Kamisoe, evoking the passage of time.

From the furniture and tea ware to the gestures of preparing tea, every detail reflects Taiga Takahashi’s coherent philosophy and aesthetic vision. Together, they allow his creative world to unfold throughout the entire space.
